Our editorial code.

    1. Helping the reader comes first. Editorial decisions are separate from any commercial decision.
    2. Official, free government or industry routes always rank first. Our own tools are labelled "Ours" and never ranked.
    3. The library ranking rubric is public: officialOrIndependent 25, accuracySourcing 20, usefulnessToday 20, freshness 15, noFee 10, depth 10. See the library.
    4. Every route shows its source and the date it was last checked. Broken links are fixed or marked.
    5. Nobody can pay for inclusion, position or wording.
    6. Paid links are marked with *, with an unpaid alternative where practical.
    7. Conflicts are disclosed wherever they appear. PensionHunter: Frank Marco has an interest.
    8. No invented figures or stories. Third-party estimates are quoted with publisher, link and date.
    9. We don't give financial advice, and we are not regulated, licensed or authorised. We point to official routes.
    10. Reader stories are published only with written consent and removed on request.
    11. Corrections: email signal@capital-fm.com. Corrections are logged in changes.json.
    12. We are building an agent company: software agents that search the official registers for you, so that finding lost money becomes quick, cheap and checkable. The guides and country pages here are the free, sourced foundation those agents work from, and the same pages are published as open data for people and machines to read. Where an agent cannot yet do something, the free official route stays the first step. A human (Frank) reviews every route and every page before it goes live.

We always point people to the free government tracing route first, and we take nothing from financial advisers.
