    Questions

How do I find a lost pension in Spain?

Get your informe de vida laboral from the Seguridad Social. It lists the periods you were registered and the schemes. Then check any private plan with the DGSFP, which authorises pension plans and funds.

Can I check my Spanish work record from abroad?

Yes, with conditions. You can sign in with Cl@ve, an electronic ID card, a certificate or an SMS code to a phone already registered with the Seguridad Social. Without these, the report can be posted to your registered address.

What if I left an old Spanish bank account behind?

The Banco de España says a balance is presumed abandoned after 20 years without activity and passes to the State. Contact the Dirección General del Patrimonio del Estado.
