Questions
How do I find a lost pension in the Netherlands?
Log in to Mijn Pensioenoverzicht to see the pension you have built up in the Netherlands. You need a DigiD or an EU-approved login key from another European country. It does not show pension built up elsewhere.
Can I check my Netherlands state pension from abroad?
Yes, in part. The SVB, which pays the AOW, says you can apply without a DigiD or citizen service number. Each insured year builds 2% of a full AOW pension, and you should apply 6 months before AOW pension age.
How do I find a forgotten Dutch life insurance policy?
Use the insurers' association search service. It asks participating insurers whether they hold a policy for you or for someone who has died. If a policy document names the insurer, contact that insurer first.
