Austria keeps a personal pension account for the state pension, and company pension funds are supervised by the financial regulator. Check the state account first, then the company funds.

Pensions
State pension: Pensionsversicherung (Pensionskonto), via oesterreich.gv.at. Your Pensionskonto, which holds your pension credits.
Workplace and private pensions: Finanzmarktaufsicht (FMA). Pensionskassen are licensed and supervised by the FMA. Ask your former employer which Pensionskasse or Betriebliche Vorsorgekasse it used. The FMA website has a company database search.

How do I find a lost pension in Austria?
Start with your Pensionskonto, which you can view with ID Austria or FinanzOnline or ask for by post. For a company pension, the FMA supervises the Pensionskassen.
Can I check my Austrian state pension from abroad?
The official page does not say. It lists ID Austria and FinanzOnline for online access and a written statement by post, so contact the pension insurer about your case.
Where is my Austrian severance money held?
